Ada Estella (Harry) Thomalla
Ada Estella Harry was born November 4, 1882 to James and Naomi Lapp Harry at Ayr, Ne. She passed away September 7, 1974 at the age of 91 years and 10 months.
She moved to Moorefield, Nebraska with her family when she was a small child and lived there until 1911 when she was united in marriage to John P. Thomalla. They resided on his farm south of Farnam for several years, later moving to Cozad, Nebraska. In 1927, they moved back to a farm south of Farnam.
John Thomalla died in 1937 and Ada remained on the farm until 1948 when she moved to her home in Farnam.
Several years of her life were spent in caring for her aged father. She also opened her home to her ailing brother and sister and cared for them for several years.
At the time of her death she was an active member of the Sunshine Club which she enjoyed very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 step-sons, her parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandson.
Surviving are her son, Earl Thomalla of Gothenburg, Ne., and daughters Grace Ozanne of Lexington and Pansy Peirsol of Farnam; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at the Nazarene Church, Sept. 10, 1974 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Harold Ellis and Rev. Leonard Clark officiating.
Pallbearers were: Gary Thomalla, Bill Thomalla, Mike Thomalla, Steve Thomalla, Larry Malcom and Elvin Gardner.
Music was provided by soloist, Father Thomas Ozanne accompanied by Mrs. Wade Craig.
Interment was in the Farnam cemetery with McVay Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
