James Alonzo Teel, son of Archibald L. and Mary Jane Teel was born August 8, 1880 at Solomon, Kansas and departed this life November 3, 1963 at North Platte, Nebraska, attaining the age of 83 years, 2 months and 26 days.

He grew to manhood in the Farnam community where he resided as a farmer and rancher until his retirement a few years ago.

He was united in marriage to Lula L. Heath July 2, 1902 at Franklin, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his wife October 7, 1959.

Mr. Teel was a member of the Farnam Methodist Church and had just received his fifty year membership pin. He is survived by six children: Carroll of Elwood, Mrs. Nona Cooper, North Platte, Mrs. Ethel Hardee, Cozad, Mrs. Gladys Harwood, Deaver, Wyoming, James Teel, Farnam, and Mrs. Luella Stevens of Gothenburg. Twenty-one grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 6 at 2:30 in the McVay-Olesen Funeral Chapel with Rev. B. H. Hart officiating.

Mrs. Anton Kotschwar and Mrs. Harold Bick sang accompanied by Mrs. Raymond Smith.

Pallbearers were: Dale Montgomery, Lawrence Baker, Elgie Thompson, Raymond Smith, Albert Bosch and Ralph Clement.

Interment was in the Farnam cemetery.
