The death of Mrs. Katherine T. Taylor last Friday, who has been ill for some time past, came as a shock to the entire community. Mrs. Taylor was one of the early settlers in this part of the country, having moved here from Pennsylvania in 1883.

The funeral services were held from the Taylor residence Saturday afternoon, conducted by Archbishop Mills of Holdrege.

According to her request the service was attended only by relatives of the family and a few intimate friends. Interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.
