Lloyd Smith

Lloyd C. Smith was born near Zanesville, Ohio, January 11th, 1901 and departed this life March 4th, 1922, at the age of twenty-one years, one month and twenty-two days. Lloyd had been in poor health for some time, and on the 20th of February developed pneumonia fever, and after fourteen days passed away.

He came to Nebraska with his parents when nine years of age, and grew to manhood near Farnam. He was a young man of esteemable character, a great home lover, and beloved by all who knew him. He was converted last winter during revival meetings in Farnam, and has been attending the Methodist Episcopal church and was a member of the young men and ladies Sunday School class in this church.

He leaves to mourn his untimely death, his father, mother, one sister and one brother, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. P.J. Kirk, and the remains were laid to rest in the Farnam cemetery.

Lloyd Smith departed this life March 4th to join the Heavenly Angels. The Reaper has come to take to himself his own, tis a mystery we can't understand he has gone to answer the last Roll Call, all was done that loving hands and kind friends could do, he has gone but will never be forgotten.
