Israel Roscoe Siemiller
Israel Roscoe Siemiller was born June 24, 1879, in Worth county, six miles north of Grant City, Missouri, and departed this life at his home in Farnam, Nebraska, April 28, 1940, at the age of 60 years, 10 months and 4 days. At the age of two years, he moved to Gothenburg with his parents, and lived until a young man on a farm, where later he was married to Miss Eva Earll, on June 8th, 1912.
To this union were born ten children, six sons and found daughters, two of whom, Ray and Viola, passed away in infancy.
He leaves to mourn, his wife and eight children: Oscar of North Platte, Mrs. William Schroder of Ingham, Mrs. Charles Gettings of Eureka, Calif, Ernest, Elsie, Dean, Veral and Kenneth, of Farnam; one grandchild, Ray Gettings of Eureka, Calif.; his step-mother, Lillie Siemiller of Batavia, Ark.; three half-brothers and one half-sister: Frank, Fred and Alice of Batavia, and Paul of Harrison. He will be missed by his many relatives and friends.
Mr. Siemiller moved to Farnam about 1913, and for several years conducted a harness shop. Later he farmed near Farnam, and for about the past 21 years had been a rural mail carrier. He was a kind husband and father, and a good neighbor.
Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church at Farnam Wednesday, May 1, by Rev. D. T. Burress, pastor of the Baptist church at Arthur, Neb. Interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.
Pallbearers were Henry Roether, Ray Blackwood, Glen Mangus, Burr Parker, Lee Hudson, Owen Thompson.
