Bobby Lee Schelles
Robert Lee Schelles, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schelles was born May 31, 1925 at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Land near Farnam, Nebraska. He died at the Reeves Memorial Hospital June 2nd, 1935, age ten years and two days.
When but a small baby he moved with his parents to Ava, Mo., where they lived four years, after which time they returned to Frontier county, Nebr., residing in the Crandall place until three months prior to his death, when they moved back to the farm where he was born.
On the day of his birthday his mother had a hot fire in the stove, as she was baking a birthday cake for him. A cyclone struck, and the home was a mass of ruins, and in some manner the stove exploded and burned him so badly that death followed two days later.
Little Bobby will be greatly missed in the home as he was a very cheerful disposition, always meeting everybody with a smile.
He attended Fairview school. His schoolmates and teacher were very much grieved to hear of his death.
He leaves to mourn his death his parents, one brother, Jackie, three sisters, Ruby, Joyce, and Lela, and many other relatives and a host of friends.
The sorrowing family have the deepest sympathy of the entire community.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, with Rev. Lauren Messersmith in charge. Interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.
