Obituary Collection
John Rylander

John Rylander was born in Sweden, April 15th, 1836. He came to the United States and settled in Illinois in the year of 1868. He was united in marriage to Miss Ellen Anderson in September 1869. To this union were born four children, two girls and two boys; Mrs.Tillie Miller of Minden, Nebr., Mrs. Annie Taffe of California, Charlie and Frank.

He moved to Filmore county, Nebraska in the year of 1876, and from there to Lincoln county, Nebraska in the year of 1884, at which he resided at the time of his death, which came as a result of a paralytic stroke September 18, 1919, at the age of 83 years, five months, and three days.

Funeral services were held at the home Sunday, September 21, conducted by Rev. T. E. Gillet, pastor of the Methodist church at Farnam. Interment in the Farnam cemetery.
