William Russell Passed Away Sat., 11
William Ernst Russell, a long time resident of Farnam, passed away at his home in Ogallala, Saturday morning, October 11, at the age of 73.
He is survived by his wife, Kate, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Clement, and one son, Joy, all of Farnam, one son, Dale of Ogallala and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Bracker Memorial Chapel in Ogallala Tuesday morning. Graveside services were held at the Farnam Cemetery.

Obituary
William Ernst Russell, son of Frank and Elizabeth Adam Russell was born in Otoe county, Nebraska, April 20, 1885 and passed away at his home in Ogallala, Nebraska October 11, 1958 at the age of 73 years 5 months and 21 days.
He received his early education in Otoe County and was united in marriage there to Katherine Schwartman, January 29, 1906. They left Otoe county and moved to the Farnam community in 1922. Mr. Russell farmed for the greater part of his life, but in more recent years was custodian at the Farnam school, with the exception of 3 years, which he spent at the Eustis school, in Eustis, Nebraska.
The Farnam High School dedicated their High School annual to him last spring, a recognition that he prized highly.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Kate, are one daugther, Mrs. Helen Clement of Farnam; two sons, JoyJoy W. of Farnam and Dale E. of Ogallala, Nebraska; six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Seeman of Huron, South Dakota; and Mrs. Nettie Farnsworth of Lincoln, and one brother, Ed Russell, living in Unadilla, Nebraska.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Bracken Memorial Chapel in Ogallala, Tuesday, October 14, 1958 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Russell E. Croker officiating. Interment and Graveside services were at 4:00 p.m. at the Farnam cemetery.
Mr. Jack Learned was the soloist, with Mrs. Donald Peterson accompanied on the Organ, both are from Ogallala, Nebraska.
Pallbearers were: James Hoppes, Harold Rowe, Louis Groshans, Walterh Smallfoot, Grover Widick, Hugo Blomquist, and Longene Josnoch.
