Obituary Collection
James Millard Rowland

James Millard Rowland was born in Petersburg, Ill., July 28, 1856. He came to Nebraska in 1879, and was married to Miss Minnie Flint January 9, 1889. In 1891 they moved to their present home.

To this union two sons were born, Fred and John, who still survive with their mother, and mourn the loss of their father who died February 22, 1913. Heart trouble being the ailing of the deceased.

Mr. Rowland will be much missed in his community. He has always been an active worker in the Church, and for some time past been superintendent of the Sabbath School at Mt. Hope. He has long been a member of the United Brethren Church, but recently united with the Nazarene Church of that place.

His nature was domestic and will be greatly missed by the entire surrounding community of many friends, who extend the sacred sympathy of faith to the family and bereaved.

The service was conducted by Rev. Anderson at the M.E. Church and the remains laid to rest in the Farnam Cemetery.
