OBITUARY
Elvin Deal Price, oldest son of Dan Price and Mary Stickler, was born at Earl Park, Indiana, November 14, 1874, and passed away at the Porter sanitarium at Denver, Colo. April 14, 1951, at the age of 76 years and five months.
Elvin was one of six children; two brothers, Harvey and Forrest of Lexington, and three sisters, Carrie Butte, Myrtle Ford and Mary Bevard, all of which remain except Carrie who passed away two years ago.
A few years of his life were spent in Indiana, then in October 1883 he moved with his parents to Plum Creek, now Lexington. In April of 1885 they moved to Gosper county near Elwood, where his father had taken a homestead. There he grew to manhood. In 1904 he moved to near Orafino where he met, and on April 18, 1906, married Nancy Louise Presler to which five children were born, Theron Deal of Omaha, Ethridge Dale of Cambridge, Nora Leone Coffman of Hammond, Indiana Treva Elvina Trimble of Gary, Indiana, and Leah Maxine Gaudrealt of Gothenburg.
In 1911 he and his companion accepted Christ as their personal Savior and united with the Church of God, Seventh Day. Through the years he lived true to the faith that he believed to be right and just.
In 1936 they moved to a farm near Farnam where in 1941 his companion passed away after a long illness. Then he made his home with a son until the autumn of 1942, when he moved to Denver. Besides the five children he is survived by eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Orafino Evangelical church April 17 and burial was in the Farnam cemetery beside his wife.
