Jean Wiester of 2721 Central Ave. died Monday morning at the age of 60. She had been a patient at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha for a week.

Born in Detroit, Mrs. Wiester had been a resident of Kearney for 40 years. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Nebraska Irrigation Engineering Company for five years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Boyd and Charles Prather, both of Kearney, and her mother, Neva Thrasher of Kearney. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Boyd Prather in 1951; her father, Robert Thrasher in 1971; and a brother.

Funeral services are pending at Horner-Lieske Mortuary.
