Mrs. A. Phillips Buried Here
Elsie Mable Phillips was born at Orafino December 2, 1912, and departed this life very suddenly while attending a Curtis theater on March 22, 1947, at the age of 34 years, 3 months and 20 days.
She was united in marriage to S. August Phillips October 23, 1935, to which union three children were born.
She lived her entire life at Orafino, with the exception ot two years at Lexington and the last two years at Curtis.
She leaves to mourn her going, her husband, three children, Joan Marie, Wendall Roger and Marilyn Kay; her father, R. C. McMichael; seven sisters Mrs. Elma Calhoon, Farnam, Mrs. Mary Beck, Brooklyn, N. Y., Mrs. Velma Phillips, Curtis, Mrs. Mildred Adkisson, Farnam, Mrs. Julia Schneider, Lexington, and Ruth and Ethel, Orafino; four brothers Richard, Alvin and Clifford Junior all of Farnam and Herbert, Orafino.
Mrs. Phillips was a quiet person but a friend to all who knew her. She was a living wife and a fond and kind mother. Her untimely death leaves a home to mourn her going, her friends to miss her, but she has gone to a kind and compassionate Heavenly Father.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Moore and Rev. McCaig officiating and burial was in Farnam cemetery.
