L. E. PETERSON DIED SUDDENLY
Leonard E. Peterson was born in Sweden in 1872 and died at his home in Cheyenne, Wyoming Wednesday, June 20, 1923. He came to America with his parents in 1882 settling at Des Moines, Ia., two years later his father died. In 1884 he came with his mother to Nebraska and settled in this community where he grew to manhood.
In 1907 he was married to Miss Elma Colbert, of Pueblo, Colorado. They lived on a farm near Farnam for two years, moving from here to Brule and later to Pine Bluffs, from there they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where he had been working on the railroad for some time.
Mr. Peterson was sick only a few days, bronchial-pneumonia being the cause of death. He leaves [to] mourn his loss, a wife and five children, an aged mother, Mrs. J. Peterson of Gothenburg, a brother William of this place and three sisters, Mrs. M. C. Laurens and Mrs. J. C. Farris of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. A. J. Larsen of Gothenburg, besides many other relatives.
The remains were shipped to Farnam and funeral service[s] were held from the M. E. church Friday afternoon, and interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.
The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved family and relatives in their sorrow.
