Amelia Oberg
Amelia Oberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. C Oberg passed away Wednesday shortly after noon as the result of appendicitis. She was taken ill last week and a surgeon was summoned from Omaha arriving with a nurse Saturday morning. About 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon an operation was performed and Miss Oberg was found to be in a serious condition. Her untimely death comes as a great shock to the family and their many friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. T. E. Gillet. Interment at the Farnam cemetery.
Dr. J. O. Nystrum (?) of Omaha arrived in Farnam Saturday morning, being called here on account of the illness of Amelia Oberg who was suffering...

Obituary
Amelia Matilda Oberg was born in Webster county, Nebraska, April 16, 1898 and died happy in the Lord April 5, 1916, age 17 years, 11 months and 12 days.
Amelia would have Graduated from the Farnam high school this year had she lived. She was a great favorite among the pupils and was loved by all who knew her.
She leaves to mourn her untimely death, a devoted father and mother, besides six brothers and four sisters, all of whom were at her bedside with the exception of her brother Charles, who resides in Utah.
