GOTHENBURG—Pearl E. Nickerson, 85, died Thursday at a Colorado Springs hospital.

She was born Sept. 18, 1897 at Overton. She lived in Gothenburg until 1976, when she moved to Colorado Springs. She worked at J. M. McDonald’s in Gothenburg for many years.

She had been a member of the Lake Helen Rebekah Lodge No. 270 of Gothenburg.

Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. David) Helin of Colorado Springs; Pauline (Mrs. R. D.) Makinster of Omaha; Opal (Mrs. John) McWah of Gothenburg; Kathleen (Mrs. Mason) Ely of Superior; two sons, Howard (Bud) Nickerson of Seneca, Ill. and Jearold Nickerson of Portland, Ord.; one brother, Vernon Nelson of Holdrege; a sister, Mary Alice Casteel of Norwalk, Calif.; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending. The McVay Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church building fund.
