Milo James Nickerson

Milo James Nickerson was born near Wallace, Nebraska, on March 20, 1889, and departed this life on September 14, 1941, at the age of 52 years, 5 months, and 25 days. He lived practically all his life in and near this community. He had been in poor health for some time but had said nothing of feeling worse than usual.

On December 30, 1908, he was united in marriage to Goldie E. Kilburn at Trenton, Missouri, soon returning to Nebraska to make their home. To this union eight children were born, four sons and four daughters; Donald (Reba) and Mrs. Wilbur (Helen Grace) Sheffield of Farnam; Mrs. Lyle Anderson of Gothenburg; Harold, Delmar, Gladys, Maxine, and Gene all at home, all of whom were near at the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, eight children, eight grandchildren, mother, Mrs. Clara Messersmith of Gothenburg; two brothers, Henry of Gothenburg and Fred of Northville, Michigan; brothers Howard and Clifford preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, September 17, at 2 o'clock at the Orafino church with burial in the Farnam Cemetery.
