Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Methodist church for Mr. Herbert Newth who passed away suddenly last Friday at Holyoke, Colo. at the age of 76.

Mr. Newth, with his family, had lived in the Farnam area prior to 1926.

Interment was in the Farnam cemetery.

Herbert Newth, son of Fred and Mary Robinson Newth, was born May 23, 1886 at Inland, Nebraska and departed this life very suddenly on May 10 at Holyoke, Colo., at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 17 days.

His childhood years were spent with his parents near Inland and Farnam, Nebraska.

On July 10, 1910 he was united in marriage to Anna Katherine Powell. To this union three children were born. His wife, a son, and a daughter preceded him in death.

In 1926, the Newth family moved to a farm east of Venango, Nebraska. In 1942 they relocated on a farm 10 miles west of Venango and later moved to Holyoke, Colo. where he lived until his death.

He is survived by one son, Henry, a daughter-in-law, Dorothy, four grandchildren, all of Julesburg, Colo., also a sister, Ethel Mayhew of California, neices and nephews, and many friends.
