Mr. Jeremiah M. Murray was born February 22, 1852 at Elkhart, Indiana. Was married to Ellen E. Neighbargar, November 1, 1875 at Lincoln county, Kansas, to whom were born six children five sons and one daughter, four of which survive him, C. W. Murray, Mrs. J. N. Smith, W. A. Murray and M. J. Murray. Mr. Murray settled in Farnam precinct, Nebraska. April 30, 1893, where he resided until his demise, Friday evening, January 4, 1918. Besides a loving wife and four children, he leaves a host of friends to mourn his death.

Funeral services were held at the Congregational church Sunday afternoon. Rev. H. H. Pollard, officiating. Interment in Farnam cemetery.
