Marion Randolph Metcalf, son of James F. and Mary E. Metcalf was born October 22, 1901 at Farnam, Nebraka and departed from this life February 16, 1968 at Cozad, Nebraska at the age of 66 years, three months and 25 days. He grew to manhood in the Farnam community and spent all but the last 13 years farming.

On May 27, 1925, he was united in marriage to Rebecca M. Johnson, to this union was born three children.

In 1955 they moved to Cozad, Nebraska where he resided until the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Rebecca, and three children, Eldon of Salem, Oregon; Laverna Schroeder of Vermillion, South Dakota, and Lois Meredith of Farnam, Nebraska, fourteen grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Whelan, Fort Collins, Colorado and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, February 19, 1968 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nazarene Church in Farnam, Nebraska with the Reverend Stanley officiating. Mrs. Raymond Smith was pianist with music furnished by Audrey Kotschwar and Delores Nickerson. Casketbearers were Mark Hoselton, Clyde Kotschwar, Leon Kotschwar, Willard Stauffer, Fred Meredith and John Knoedler. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.

Arrangements for the services were under the direction of the Berryman Funeral Home.
