CURTIS — Lyle (Jack) Messersmith, 67, of Curtis died Thursday evening in a McCook hospital. Born March 17, 1905 at Stockville, he was retired restaurant operator.

Survivors include his wife, Violet of Curtis; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Carolyn) Hoyt of Whitman; three sons, Joe of Tabernath, Colo., Thomas of Alliance and Pat of Curtis; two sisters, Mrs. George (Lenna) Shelley of Stockville and Mrs. Lola Hubbard of Marquette; and two brothers, Lloyd of Cambridge and Leonard of Weiser, Idaho.
