Phyllis McNickle Allred
Phyllis Mae, youngest daughter of Dan and Grace McNickle, was born near Farnam October 23, 1921 and passed away in the hospital at Jerome, Idaho, September 30, from injuries received in a runaway.
She became a member of Farnam Baptist church at an early age and was a faithful member.
She was a member of the class of 1939 Farnam high school. She taught school in the community for two years then moved to Idaho where she was married October 12, 1946.
She was preceded in death by her mother and two brothers, Dell and Maynard. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Paul Allred of Wendell, Idaho; her father, Dan McNickle of Farnam; two sisters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Cross of Denver and Mrs. Kathleen Meyers of Oja Caliente, N.M.; six brothers, Arthur, Tacoma, Wash., Max, Farnam, Ralph, Gordon, Francis, Sheridan, Wyo., Clark, Farnam, James, Littleton, Colorado; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Dell McNickle, Iowa Falls, Iowa.
This host of near kinfolks, her friends at Wendell, the friends of her school days and acquaintenances around Farnam feel the loss of a true friend. She was a loving daugher and a faithful, helpful wife. The sorrow of her passing will be with us always.
Funeral services under direction of the Olesen Funeral Home were at the Methodist church Monday afternoon with Rev. E. C Barton officiating, assisted by Rev. B. H. Hart and Rev. Earl Brock.
The music was by Mrs. Charlie Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Pollard, David Banks, Mrs. Smith pianist.
Pallbearers were Richard Derra, Maurice Widick, Alvin Smallfoot, Ellis Widick, Russell Wilcox and Roland Gruber.
Interment in Farnam cemetery.
