Richard “Cliff” McMichael of Farnam passed away on Thursday, Aug. 16, 1973, at the Cozad Hospital. Born Sept. 30, 1890, at Orafino, Nebraska, he was 82.

He is survived by seven daughters: Mrs. Elma Calhoun of Bell, Calif., Mrs. Mary Beck of Espanola, New Mexico, Mrs. Velma Phillips of Lakehead, Calif., Mrs. Mildred Adkisson of Farnam, Mrs. Julia Schneider of Hermiston, Ore., Mrs. Ruth Fisher of Moorefield, and Mrs. Ethel Craig of Hershey; four sons: Richard and Alvin, both of Farnam, Herbert of Fort Morgan, Colo., and Clifford of Hermiston, Ore.; 39 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.

Services were held Monday afternoon at the Church of the Nazarene in Farnam with the pastor, Rev. Harold Ellis, officiating. Music was by Mrs. Paul Sukraw and Mrs. Charles Davis, with Mrs. Elvin Piersol as accompanist. Honorary pallbearers were Lloyd Hopkins, Frank Martin, Wayne Williams, William Hill, Ralph Parker and Roland Lehman. Active pallbearers wer Meryl McMichael, Robert Fisher, Randy Craig, Larry Beck, Marvin McMichael, Ronald Adkisson, Dallas McMichael and Kenneth Adkisson. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.
