CHRIS MAURER PASSES
AWAY SUDDENLY TUESDAY

The community was shocked Tuesday afternoon when the word was given out that Chris Maurer had died suddenly. Mr. Maurer had been down town in the morning, and was apparently in his usual state of good health. He began feeling bad about noon, but was not thought to be in a serious condition. About 1:45 he suddenly passed away, without warning.

Mr. Maurer has been a resident of this community since 1903, with the exception of a short time when he lived in Colorado.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon, in the Baptist church.
