Obituary
Lois Lenore Hayden, second daughter of Edward and Retta Hayden, was born at Olmsted Falls, Ohio, June 7, 1877 and died at Farnam, Nebr., August 30, 1917.
On June 29, 1898, she was united in marriage to John H. Martin, and to this union six children were born: Claude and Donovan who died in infancy, and Lawrence, Fay, Kenneth and baby Elizabeth. She is survived by her husband and four children, her mother, Mrs. E. Ceder of Farnam, Nebr., two sisters, Mrs. J. E. Brittan of Decatur, Iowa, and Mrs. L. E. Redford of Kansas City, Mo., and one brother, Claude D. Hayden of Curtis, Nebr.
When 13 years of age she united with the Congregational church of Farnam. She was a gentle, loving and unselfish wife and mother, she was quiet and retiring, preferring home and family to all else.
The funeral services were held from the Methodist Episcopal church Saturday afternoon at 2 o’lcock, conducted by Rev. T. E. Gillet. Interment in the Farnam cemetery.
