He came to Nebaraska with his parents when a small lad and they settled near Humboldt, where he grew to manhood. He came to Farnam in 1892.
On June 29, 1898, he was married to Lois Hayden. To this union were born five children, four sons and one daughter; Claude, Donovan, Lawrence, Kenneth and Faye. His wife, Claude, Donovan and Faye (Mrs. Clarence Dixon) preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sons, Lawrence of Gothenburg and Kenneth of Seattle, Washington; one sister, Mrs. Allie Stebbins; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
For a number of years, he farmed near here and later worked for the railroad for twenty years, living alone until July 3, 1946, when ill health made it necessary for him to go to the Mrs. Beck home.
Funeral services were held at the Church of the Nazarene Tuesday with Rev. T. B. Gray officiating.
Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.
