Jessie Erma (Speck) Martin
Jessie Erma Martin passed away Friday, April 27 at the
Gothenburg Memorial Hospital. She was 69. Services were Monday
at the Nazarene Church in Farnam with Rev. Harold Ellis
officiating. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.
Jessie was born to Peter and Mary Speck at Farnam on Dec . 4,
1909. She was united in marriage to Jack Martin, July 6, 1935 at
North Platte. She was a charter member of the American Legion
Post 288 at Farnam.
She is survived by her husband, Jack of Farnam; two sons,
Jerome T. Martin of Hebron and Douglas J. Martin of North
Platte; two daughters, Mrs. Norlin (June) Cooper of North Platte
and Mrs. George (Norma) Florom of Ravenna; one brother Charles
Speck of Redmond, Oregon; two sisters, Margaret Griffith of
Birmingham, Ala., and Genevea Malick of Redmond, Oregon; and 11
grandchildren.
Mrs. Larry Jurjens was the soloist and pianist was Mrs.
Harold Ellis.
Casket bearers were Kenneth Stevens, Wayne Thomsen, Lynn
Messersmith, Leon Kotschwar, Clyde Kotschwar and Howard
Penn.
