Obituary

Anna M. Rank was born in Indiana county, Pennsylvania, March 30, 1843, died at her house in Frontier county, Nebraska, Sept. 3, 1920; age 77 years, 5 months and 3 days.

She was united in marriage to Robert L. Lydic, May 5, 1864; to this union were born three sons and four daughters, one of whom died in infancy. The husband passed away December 28, 1894.

In 1889 the family moved to Frontier county, Nebraska and settled on the homestead which she occupied until the time of her death.

She was converted in early life and united with the Wesleyan Methodist church at Pine Grove, Pennsylvania.

She was sanctified in 1893 and always was a staunch believer in the Holy way.

During her illness, which was of about nine weeks duration, she spoke of Companionship with Jesus, repeated scripture and longed to be at home with Jesus.

She suffered intensely, but bore it all with remarkable patience.

Religious services were always enjoyed by her and she gave generously of her means for the support of the cause she loved so dearly. At the time of her death she was a member of the Nazarene church.
