Mae Litchenberg
Funeral services for Mae Litchenberg, 87, of Gothenburg, are planned for Wednesday (today) at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. She died Sunday at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.
Pastor George Ibach will conduct the services. The music will be provided by Larry Viter and Viola Nordin, accompanist. Pallbearers are Ivar Johnson, Larry Viter, Marshall Burchell, Otto Franzen, Lawrence Baker and Jack Kniss. Interment will be in the Farnam Cemetery.
Mae Grace Litchenberg was born Jan. 25, 1899, in Farnam. She was the daughter of Henry and Mary (Pike) Baker. She was raised at Farnam and graduated from Farnam High School. She was married to Ben Litchenberg on March 15, 1933 at Hastings. They made their home north of Farnam where they farmed. They moved to Gothenburg in 1947.
Mae was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jack Litchenberg of Houston, TX; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Marie.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
