Doris LaBelle Kotschwar
COZAD - Doris LaBelle Kotschwar, 78, of Cozad died July 2, 2003, at Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She was born July 8, 1924, at Willow Island to George and Sylvia Paris Vickers. She graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1942 and went to California, where she worked in an airplane factory during the war. She returned to Nebraska and worked in an orphanage and a school for the blind.
On April 27, 1948, she married Clyde Kotschwar.
Mrs. Kotschwar was a member of First Baptist Church in Gothenburg. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, having a love for children of all ages. She worked at Monroe Auto in Cozad until her retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl (Steve) Brown of Council Bluffs and Kathaleen (Lonnie) McClellen of Farnam; two sons, Rex and Dennis, both of Cozad; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Juanita Smallfoot.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Gothenburg, with the services at 2 p.m.
