Roy Kestler, son of John J. and Lionia Kestler, was born near Stockville in Frontier county on September 18, 1893, and passed away at Holdrege on August 17, 1941 at the age of 57 years and 11 months.

He had spent his entire life in and around Farnam. At the time of his death he was employed near Curtis, where he received an injury which resulted in his death.

He is survived by his foster mother, who has really been a mother to him since the age of seven, also three brothers, George of Denver, Louis of Springfield, and Charley of Farnam. Also two sisters, Mrs. Harry Bayley of Benkleman and Mrs. J.H. Lincoln of Oklahoma City.

Funeral services were held at the graveside in the Farnam Cemetery by Rev. Mitchell, pastor of the local Methodist church Tuesday morning.
