Ralph J. Jurjens
FARNAM — Ralph J. Jurjens of Farnam, 92, died Dec. 27 at a Kearney Hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1899 in Eustis to Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jurjens. He married Dorothy Crisman Oct. 15, 1942 at Farnam. He farmed south of Farnam until he retired and moved into Farnam in 1969.
He was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene in Farnam for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy, of Farnam; two sons, Larry and wife Joanne of Farnam and Melvin and wife Linda of Piedmont, Okla.; one daughter, Lola Mae (Mrs. Melvin) Essex of Eureka, Kans.; two brothers, Ben of Salem, Mo., and Amos of Eustis; two sisters, Esther Loudon of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Edna (Mrs. George) Olson of Gothenburg; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Farnam Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. John Bowlby officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the Church of the Nazarene in Farnam.
McVay Memorial Chapel at Gothenburg is in charge of arrangements.
