The deceased, W. T. Jones, was born in Pickaway county, Ohio, in the year of 1847 and died in Farnam, Nebraska, April 21, 1910, aged 62 years, 10 months and 19 days.

He enlisted at the age of 17 in the 2nd Illinois Cavalry, and served two and one half years during the Civil War.

In 1872 he was married to Miss Maggie Brand, who still survives him. To this union were born nine children, seven who will survive him, and one sister to mourn his loss.

The deceased was an old pioneer resident of Nebraska, homesteading here 26 years ago, moving from the state of Illinois.

Since that time he has continually resided in Nebraska, following the occupation of farming until two years ago, when he retired and moved to Farnam and engaged in the real estate business, in which he was very successful.

He was blessed with good health up to about eight months ago, tho with all his suffering his last days were his happiest days.—Farnam Echo.
