Jennie Reeves Jones was born March 1, 1877 at Benton, Iowa. She was the oldest of nine children born to her parents, Nelson Grant Reeves and Jessie Louise Rose Reeves.

She was married to George Oliver Jones at Bussey, Iowa on November 15, 1893. Five children were born to this union. Mrs. C.E. Pollard and Mrs. Wells C. Jones of Farnam; Oliver Herold and James Harland Jones of Dade City, Florida, and Mattison Dolf Jones, who died on June 8, 1959. Her husband died March 19, 1943.

She is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Jessie Ammons of Hamilton, Missouri; Mrs. Sada Weik of Neligh, Nebraska, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

While living in Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Jones did Deaconess work for the Church of the Nazerene. This work calls for a discpline of study and social concern and in many ways duplicates the work of the pastor. Upon returning to Farnam to help care for her aged father, Mrs. Jones continued to serve her church faithfully.
