William M. Johnston
William M. Johnston, a resident of this locality for over thirty years, died at his home last evening at 7:20. He had not been feeling well for some time past but would not give up his work until compelled to do so. Although everything that skill and friends could do to assist him back to health he expired after being bedfast for seven days.
Mr. Johnston was one of Farnam's most highly esteemed citizens and his death has cast a gloom over the entire community. He was known as one of the most benevolent and considerate men in this locality, and always ready to lend aid to those in need, and to be of assistance for any cause that would be a benefit to the country in which he lived.
He was born in Pennsylvania, September 22, 1849, and came here in 1884, where he had since resided.
The funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
