Obituary
Owen F. Johnson was born June 8, 1851 at Dayton, Ohio, removing at an early age with his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Johnson to Antrich[?], Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Charlotte Klinefelter August 9, 1873 at Anamosa, Iowa. In 1873 they filed on a homestead in Frontier county, Neb., where they have lived ever since.
April 17, 1919 Mr. Johnson passed into the great beyond.
Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his loss seven sons and three daughters. George, Farnam; Edward, Sylvester, Clarence and Grace of Hillrose, Colo.; Irvin, AEF France; Arthur and Owen, Ingham; Mrs. Lillie Hurshman, Farnam; Mrs. Maude Rosenfelt, Toppewish, Wash. Also three brothers and two sisters who were present at [the] funeral: H. B. Johnson, George Johnson, Mrs. James McMurvin and Mrs. A. W. Hopkins, Anamosa, [Iowa], [and] Walter Johnson, Denver, Colo.
Funeral services were held at the Farnam Baptist Church April 19. Rev. June Pollard Officiating. Interment in Farnam cemetery.
