Lulu Geraldine (Thomas) Johnson, 97, of Farnam, Nebraska, died January 23, 2016 at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital in Gothenburg, NE.

Geraldine was born August 24, 1918 in Duncan, NE, daughter of Walter and Susan (Cox) Thomas. She attended school in Duncan, NE and graduated from high school at Odessa, NE.

On July 7, 1936 she married Wesley Knapp, to this union four children were born. They later divorced. Geraldine married Irvin C. Johnson on December 27, 1978 in Sterling, CO.

She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, gardening and ceramics.

Geraldine was preceded in death by husband, Irvin C. Johnson, her parents, two brothers William and Aulden Thomas, sister, Betty, son Ted Eugene Knapp, step-son Merle Johnson, step daughter Roberta.

Geraldine is survived by her son Dale Knapp of Ft. Morgan, CO, two daughters Kathleen (Knapp) Widick of Farnam and Janet (Knapp) Linville of Orchard, CO; step-son Wayne Johnson of Kearney, NE; step daughters Jannette (Johnson) Evans of Minatate, NE and Rojean (Johnson) Gutherless of North Platte; 15 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren along with extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Tuesday, January 26, 2016, 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm with the family present from 5-7.

Funeral services will be held at Farnam United Methodist Church, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2:30 pm.

Burial will follow in the Farnam Cemetery, Farnam, Nebraska.

Memorials may be given to the Farnam Senior Center.
