Mrs. O. F. Johnson Passes Away
Charlotta Klinefelter was born May 30th, 1856 at Anamosa, Iowa and departed this earthly life on February 18 at 9:30 p.m. at her home near Ingham, Nebr. Age 68 years, 8 months and 18 days. Mrs. Johnson had been suffering with a lingering illness for three years prior to the time of her death.
She grew to womanhood at Anamosa, Ia. and there was united in marriage to Owen Johnson. To this union twelve children were born, ten of whom are living to mourn her departure. She was a faithful member of the Methodist church for many years.
Mrs. Johnson and her family moved to Nebraska in 1884 and took up a homestead 10 miles south of Farnam where they lived for a number of years, later moving to their present home west of Ingham. Mr. Johnson preceded her to the great beyond about 7 years ago.
There are ten children who are left to mourn the loss of a precious mother, they are; Mrs. Maud Rauhauser who resides in Washington, Edward, Irvin and Clarence living near Hillrose, Colo., George Johnson and Mrs. Lilly Hurshman of Farnam and Sylvester, Grace, Arthur, and Owen who resided with their mother. Besides these there are 18 grand children and four great grand children.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Farnam Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Geo Seick, pastor of the church. Interment was made in the Farnam cemetery.
