Mabel Ellen Cloyd was born in Chelsea, Fillmore County, Nebraska. March 30. 1887, moving to Farnam in her early childhood. She departed this life on February 8th, 1949, at her home in Farnam, her death being very sudden and unexpected. Her age at death was 61 years, 10 months and 9 days.

She was united in marriage to Lee Hudson of Farnam on November 4, 1908. To this union were born four children: Faye Waits of Gering, Gilbert of Gothenburg, Kenneth of Farnam and Madolene Edson of Fremont.

She had resided in the Farnam community for over fifty years and will long be remembered for her fine spirit of neighborliness.

She leaves her husband and all her children to mourn her passing, besides two brothers, a half sister three half brothers, ten grandchildren and other relatives and numerous friends.
