When but a little girl 4 years of age her parents moved to Iowa and five years later they came on to Nebraska.

She was married to Thomas Mitchell in 1877. To this union were born 7 children, 6 of them having preceeded their mother to the great beyond. The only living child from this first union is Mrs. Cora Carlson of Ragan, Nebr. In March 1896, she was married to John Hirschmiller. He was called from this earthly life on October 28, 1924.

In September 1925, Mrs. Hirschmiller moved to Ragan, Nebr., where she lived until her death, having been in her new home just ten months. She leaves to mourn their loss, three step-daughters, one own daughter and one adopted son. They are: Mrs. John Schmeckle and Mrs. Earnest Knoedler of Cozad; Mrs. O. Clement of this place, Mrs. Rudolph Carlson and Henry Hirschmiller of Ragan, Nebr.

Mrs. Hirschmiller was a noble woman, having lived a clean, Christian life. She has been a member of the Farnam Baptist church for the past twenty years.

A host of very warm friends will miss her, as to know her was to love her. She was a sweet christian character, and did not look upon death as one who had no hope, but could say with the poet:

There is a land of pure delight,
   Where saints immortal reign;
Infinite day excludes the night,
   And pleasures banish pain.
      —Isaac Watts

The body was brought to Farnam Monday afternoon and funeral services held from the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Geo. Seick. The remains were laid to rest in the Farnam cemtery.
