Eva E. Hilton
GOTHENBURG — Eva E. Hilton, 95, of Gothenburg died Feb. 6, 2003, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 2, 1907, at Eustis to Charles and Edith Richards Keiper.
In October 1924, she married Elmer Ray Hilton at Norton, Kan. He preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1990. They lived on their farm northeast of Gothenburg for over 55 years. She raised chickens and provided eggs for almost everyone who needed them.
Mrs. Hilton wrote the Roton Valley news for the Tri-City Tribune for many years. She was also a member of the CoBurg Gals Extension Club, the Eagles Auxiliary of North Platte and the Roton Valley Quilters. She enjoyed family gatherings and music.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris (George) Hergenrader of North Platte and June (Gerald) Walker of North Platte; three sons, Leonard (Virginia) of Gothenburg, Orville of Cozad and Marvin (Carol) Hilton of Kearney; a brother, Harold Keiper of Antioch, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two granddaughters, Patty Jo Hilton and Michelle Gill; a grandson, Doug Hilton; five brothers, Jim, Paul, Kenneth, Ralph and Ed Keiper.
Memorials are suggested to the Methodist Church.
