Chris Hesse passed away Tuesday morning at his home in Farnam.

He has been in poor health and under a doctor’s care for some time. Although his condition was never considered good, he was not one to complain. And often in nice weather you could see him walking down town in the mornings to get the mail. As long as he was able he attended church regularly.

Chris farmed for many years north of Farnam. He married Myrtle Velte in 1939. Retiring from farming 10 years ago they moved into Farnam where they have made their home since.

He leaves his wife, Myrtle, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral Services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church at Farnam, with Rev. B. H. Hart officiating.

McVay Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

CARD OF THANKS

We wish to express our thanks to all our friends and neighbors for their kindness at the time of the death of our husband and father. The cards, flowers and memorial offerings were much appreciated.

We especially wish to thank all those who donated food and served the family both in the home and at the Auxiliary hall.
