Marie Hazen, 76, retired farmwife, died Jan. 25, 1993, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Born July 21, 1916, in Frontier County to Ira and Christie (Adkisson) Wear, she was raised on a farm and attended schools at Ingham and Farnam.

On May 7, 1937, she married Murlin Hazen. They farmed near Farnam until 1970 when they moved to Eustis.

Mrs. Hazen was a member of the United Methodist Church in Farnam.

Survivors include two daughters, Irene (Bill) Hilker of Axtell and Wilma (Glen) Stombaugh of Eustis; two sisters, Lewise Smallfoot of Gibbon and Luccett Halley of Curtis; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971; three brothers. Carl, Alfred and Arthur; a sister, Delia Donaldson; and two grandsons.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Farnam with the Rev. Arnie Teachout officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Make-A-Wish Children's Foundation.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today at the Berryman Funeral Home in Eustis.
