James Hazen
James Andrew Hazen was born December 24, 1876 at Filo, Ill. and died at Cozad, Nebr. May 28, 1962 at the age of 86. He came to Nebraska with his mother at the age of 14.
He lived on the farm most of his life. In October 1926 he moved into Farnam where he has made his home.
Mr. Hazen was baptized in the Baptist Church at Seymour when a child.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lidia, and a daughter, Helen.
Survivors include two sons Andrew and Murlin both of Farnam and two daughters, Mrs. Eldin Roberts, of Boulder, Colo., and Mrs. R. Wendell Mousel of Cambridge, Nebraska. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning at the Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Donald Green officiating.
Pallbearers were: Virgil Hazen, John Hazen, James Roberts, William Mousel, Ronald Mousel, and Glen Stombaugh.
Internment was in the Farnam cemetery.
McVay-Olesen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
