Eva Hathaway, 85, of Farnam, died Tuesday at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital long term care center, May 27, 1980. A lifetime resident of Frontier County, she was born Sept. 11, 1894, grew up on the family farm and attended school there. In later years, she moved into Farnam. In 1961, she joined St. Matthews Episcopal Church.

Survivors include one cousin, Nena Smith of Seymour, Iowa; and other cousins.

Preceding her in death were her father, Samuel and her mother, Viola.

Visitation was at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.

Services were held May 30 at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene at Farnam with Father Gockly of Broken Bow officiating.

Pallbearers were Harold Lehman, Lewis Lehman, Lynn Messersmith, John Hazen, Gerald Thompson and Wayne Williams.

Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.
