Clara Haskins
Clara Haskins, the daughter of Joseph and Lena Schulligan was born December 17, 1893 at Doniphan, Nebr. She moved with her parents to the Ingham Community in Lincoln County, Nebraska where she resided until moving to Farnam in 1931.
She was united in marriage to Orv. Stebbins in 1932 but he passed away within a year of their marriage.
Then on November 9, 1944 she was united in marriage to Henry S. Haskins. They lived on an acreage at Farnam for 20 years. Mr. Haskins passed away on March 31, 1963 and Mrs. Haskins moved to her present home.
She was an active member of the Methodist Church, having taught Sunday School for 25 years. She was also active in Civic affairs and was well known throughout the community.
Clara Haskins passed away at a Gothenburg Hospital January 10, 1968 at the age of 74 years and 23 days. She is survived by two step daughters, Mrs. Garnette Brannan and Mrs. Hilda Beisner both of North Platte, eight step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren, many friends and relatives.
Services were held January 12, 1968 at the Farnam Methodist Church with the Rev. Conley Hinrichs officiating.
Burial was in the Farnam Cemetery with the McVay Funeral Home in charge.
