Mary J. Hagberg
Mary Jane Teel was the oldest child born to Austin S. and Edith M. Teel at Zanesville, Ohio, February 10, 1878 and passed away at the Gothenburg Retirement Home March 24, 1962, at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 14 days.
She was united in marriage to Victor A. Anderson of Farnam on April 6, 1903. They made their home on a farm 7 miles northwest of Farnam until her husband, Victor, passed away in January of 1926. Then she and her only child, a daughter, Florence, moved to Farnam, where they resided for a short time, then moved to Gothenburg.
Here at Gothenburg, she was united in marriage to Charles Hagberg on April 6, 1927. Mr. Hagberg passed away on January 7, 1939.
Shen then lived alone as long as her health permitted.
Surviving are her daughter, Florence Rubenthaler, two grandchildren and seven great grandchilren; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Heath of Broadwater, Nebr., and Mrs. Maude Smith of San Bernardino, Calif.; one brother of Grand Island. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at the McVay-Olesen Chapel, Tuesday, March 27, at 2:00 p.m., with Evangelist Darrell Foltz officiating. Mrs. Everett Oman was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Clifford Geiken. Pallbearers were Levi Magnuson, Arthur Clouatre, Ernest Johnson, Roy Evans, Charley Albert and Albert Rodine. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.
