Obituary Collection
Aubrey Norris Fitch

The community was shocked Saturday, February 16 by the message of the death of Aubrey Norris Fitch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Fitch of Dickens, formerly residents of Farnam, who are well known and much loved by the people here.

He was born near Farnam August 14, 1902 and departed this life February 16, 1918, age 15 years, 6 months and two days. He was an active member of the Dickens band and was respected and loved by the band boys, as well as by all who knew him, as was readily recognized by the tribute of beautiful flowers and the many friends who accompanied his remains to Farnam, among whom being six of the band boys who acted as pall bearers. The funeral services were held in the church at Dickens, Monday, February 18, at 1:30 p. m. and the body shipped to Farnam for burial.

He leaves to mourn, a father and mother, two brother and three sisters, also two grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Phillips of Haxtun, Colo., who were present at the funeral, besides a number of other relatives at Farnam, and a host of friends who join them in their great sorrow and extend their heartfelt sympathy in their sad hour of bereavement.

A short service was held at the grave, conducted by Rev. T. E. Gillet, pastor of the Methodist church at Farnam.
