Roberta Matta Ernest
Her friends were deeply shocked Tuesday when word was received that Roberta Ernest, 17 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ernest, who reside southwest of town, had died very unexpectedly that day at a North Platte hospital.
Available information is that she was taken sick with the flu about ten days ago and this was followed by a bad attack of hiccups, for which she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Funeral services will be held at the local Methodist church Saturday afternoon with burial in the Farnam cemetery.
It has pleased the Almighty God in his Providence to call Roberta Matta Ernst.

She leaves to mourn her death, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jakie Ernest, sister Ruth, and fiance, Clyde P. Kotschwar, all of Farnam; her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. August Langenberg of Bertrand; three uncles, Harry and Chester Langenberg of Bertrand and Lester Langenberg of Camp Beale, California; one aunt Caroline Langenberg of Bertrand, and other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Chester Hugo Mortuary in Gothenburg to the Farnam Methodist Church with Rev. E. H. Tipton officiating. Burial was in the Farnam Cemetery.
