Clarence J. Devine, 83, a lifetime resident of the immediate area, died in Cozad early Monday after suffering a short illness. He was born Nov. 19, 1886 in Eustis.

He was the son of Charles A. and Katherine (Croft) Devine.

Survivors include one son, Lloyd, Cozad; one step-son, Ronald Dean Wilcox, Cozad; one daughter, Mrs. Beryl Branstiter, Independence, Mo.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad Wednesday, June 17, 1970 at 2:00 p.m. Robert O. Boseck, pastor of the 9th Street Church of Christ in Cozad will officiate. Interment will be in the Farnam Cemetery.
