Ora A. Shull was born at Thorntown, Indiana, November 18, 1877. In 1897 she was married to Carson E. Davis, at Shulldale, the family home, in Otoe County, Nebraska. They lived on a farm in Otoe County for a number of years. Here their four children were born. In 1919 they moved to their farm in Frontier County, Nebraska, near Farnam. A daughter died in infancy, and Mr. Davis passed away in 1933.

Mrs. Davis was a member of the Farnam Methodist Church. She passed away August 16, 1964, at the Slack Nursing Home in Gothenburg where she had been a patient for some time.

She is survived by two brothers; Tyner of Sterling, Colo., and Elmer of Joliet, Illinois; three children; Harland, of Caldwell, Idaho; Mrs. Lauren (Marguerite) Messersmith of Lake Villa, Illinois; and Charley of Farnam, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.
